So far it appears that the weather this year is trying to make up for last! We had another gorgeous day for the 49 (!!!) teammates and friends riding on Saturday, an all-time favorite route with a rest stop at Sassy Cow Creamery. It was 34 miles of picturesque Wisconsin countryside, sunny skies, and just a little bit of a headwind to make us earn our ice cream. Go Team!
It's April 20 and 46 Lymphomaniacs team members turned out for our Coffeehouse to Coffeehouse ride -- Lakeside Coffee in Madison to the incomparable Firefly Coffeehouse in Oregon. The weather was perfect with sunny skies, temperatures in the upper 50's/low 60's and a light North wind.
We are now 138 team members and our awesome riders and their supporters have raised $38,500 so far! That puts us at 30% of our $130,000 goal! Want to donate to your rider? Head over to the team roster, find the person you want to support and click their fundraising page link to make a secure, online donation. Thanks for your generous support! ![]() A record 47 team members joined the first team ride of 2019. We met at the beautiful UW Arboretum and followed our traditional season opening route to Paoli. The weather was cloudy and cool with a light south breeze. The ride started with our route and safety briefing, presented by Josh Woolfolk, Training Committee chair. Safety is a major focus of our team rides and every outing begins by a reminder of biking safety & etiquette. Art Saffran followed up with a welcome and mission moment, thanking everyone for helping to support critical research by raising $130,000 this year. And, of course, we posed for a team photo. Ride photos are HERE. Our 134 team members are working hard to cure cancer. You can help by donating generously. You can find our riders and links to their fundraising pages on our photo roster. Please support our efforts! There’s nothing quite like the first Lymphomaniacs indoor team training ride to make you feel like spring is just around the corner. Our season kicked off this week at Flyght Cycle and, although turnout was hampered by inclement weather, it was great to see some familiar faces and a couple new ones as well!
The weather caused a delay for our “East Side Crew” which will (weather permitting) get fired up at the East YMCA next week. In the mean time, if you haven’t signed up to ride indoors with the team and would like to do so you can access the sign up link below. There are options for both the entire session and single rides. You must be a Lymphomaniacs member to join these classes. For more information on joining the team, please contact us!
